At Kennerson Ranch, we are dedicated to offering a serene escape that combines the therapeutic benefits of a working ranch with the exhilarating activities of lake life living. Our picturesque location on Lake Gaston, NC/VA, provides the perfect backdrop for a rejuvenating retreat.
Kennerson Ranch includes a fully furnished guest house for lodging and adjacent is a Barndominium for additional lodging. With a condominium upstairs, downstairs is the ranch common area for all to enjoy, relax and socialize. All prepared meals, dining and gatherings are held in the downstairs Barn to include TV, entertainment area and patio/fireplace, for a casual atmosphere. The guest house also has a full kitchen with all the amenities provided for in-house use.
For onsite transportation, the Ranch has provided a golf cart for convenance to use around the ranch to include back and forth traveling to the boathouse, waterfront property. A serene location for lounging, swimming and launch point for paddleboard and kayaks. The boathouse has two slips where there is a 26’ V hull watercraft boat for waterborne recreation and a 22’ pontoon boat for everyone to enjoy while taking a relaxing cruise on the lake.
Kennerson Ranch is designed to provide a unique atmosphere where Ranch and Lake Life activities merge. From boat cruises and recreational activities, such as fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, wakeboarding and wake surfing for the waterborne enthusiast. And while the ranch provides hands on experiences with miniature stallions and donkeys, you can also observe the majestic Rocky Mountain Elk which lives on the CERVID pasture of the Ranch. A program for wildlife conservation which is certified, strictly regulated and licensed through the North Carolina Department of Agriculture.
Kennerson Ranch Foundation, a newly established and authorized 501 c (3) nonprofit Charity, provides an all-inclusive, unique getaway for active duty military, veterans and family members, to include Gold Star Families and youths, within the U.S. Special Operations Forces. Kennerson Ranch provides both ranch and lake lifestyles giving the opportunity to rejuvenate, both physically and mentally, while participating in recreational activities and enjoying a relaxing and serene environment enhancing one's well-being.
A personal word...
As a retired Navy SEAL, I understand the challenges of balancing a demanding lifestyle with quality family time. It's crucial to prioritize moments of togetherness to combat the mental and physical stress that can arise from long periods apart. That's why I believe in the power of KR to provide the therapy and support needed.
I seized the opportunity to give back in a unique way, from humble beginnings in a timber forest to the thriving establishment that KR is today. My vision is for KR to reach its full potential, serving as a haven within the Special Operations community for recreational activities, therapeutic healing, and overall well-being for individuals, groups, and families.
Whether you visit KR alone, with friends, or with loved ones, know that this place is a part of the brotherhood, a sanctuary for all to enjoy.
